The Challenge


For a long time, doTERRA has struggled to convey “the story” of the company to our customers from their very first order. One solution was including a copy of doTERRA’s lifestyle magazine in first-time orders, but that option wasn’t ideal for brand-new customers who had no experience with essential oils. Another was drop-cards with QR codes linking to online resources for beginners, but distributors reacted negatively to this strategy. They desperately wanted a physical option to “wow” their customers during that first unboxing. 


The SOLUTION


I began privately developing a printed alternative to the previous magazine option. The problem was that the magazine was too niche for newcomers. This booklet was designed to be a mini-magazine, featuring the same printed quality as the original and distilling the complete “story” of doTERRA in terms of its mission, top products, and major programs.

After a year of work, I presented the project to Canada’s senior management and, after a little refinement, they voted to adopt it into our full-scale enrollment process beginning October 2023.  

Also included in the booklet (but not shown in this digital preview) is a sheet of doTERRA bottle cap stickers! Our distributors have been begging for these to be included in first-time orders for years, and we were excited to finally satisfy this long-time request.
